Needlepoint.Com Sizzling Saturday Specials, Summer 2019
Full disclosure: I was dreading Sizzling Saturday this year. As the title implies, Needlepoint.Com runs a sale every Saturday throughout the summer, and this year, I was feeling low on inspiration. One of my biggest challenges with long-running sales like this is establishing cohesiveness, as one week it's a Christmas kit, one week it’s a Halloween kit, and the next it’s “any design with a pet on it”. I was staring at the “Witch Cones” - our worst-selling kit that was thrown into the sale in a last ditch attempt to get rid of it - when I suddenly had a vision of one of the witches pictured longing on a beach with a beverage and a book (MacBeth, of course). And so the Sizzling Saturday theme was born: Your Needlepoint’s Vacation Shenanigans.
Oh, and the Witch Cones sold out.
